Are you a physical scientist or do you engage with STFC or use STFC facilities and doing outreach, public engagement and science communication? If so then the Interact symposium is for you! This is a one day opportunity for you to share your experiences, gain new skills, learn new ways to engage with your audiences, gain practical experience and see what else is out there that can help you develop and deliver high quality engagement.

What it’s all about

V- Interact online 2021 objectives.

  1. Run an online event to maintain interaction with previous Interact attendees and physical sciences research and engagement community.
  2. Provide sessions on core topics identified through Interact 2019 phase two evaluation:
    • running and evaluating online events
    • supporting an equitable COVID recovery.
  3. Trial online delivery and gather feedback on its effectiveness so that an online element can be incorporated into future Interact symposia.

Who can attend?

The symposium is open to all STEM Science researchers including engineering and facility users. Attending can also contribute to your continuing professional development.

Evaluation reports from the 2017 and 2019 Interact symposia can be downloaded below, the results presented from these and follow up reports will allow comparison of the survey results in more depth and provides useful evidence in planning how we can support Public Engagement in the future.
