7.2 Announcement of a Research Grant

  • When a proposal has been approved for funding, the Principal Investigator will be sent an email indicating STFC’s intention to award the grant including any feedback from the assessment process. The same email will also be issued to the RO’s master Je-S account, When the grant has been authorised by the Research Council a formal offer letter will be issued via Je-S to the Research Administration Office which then needs to be accepted.
     
  • The offer letter will give full details of the funds awarded and any additional conditions associated with the research grant together with the expected start date and end date of the grant.
     
  • Following acceptance of the offer of a research grant a start confirmation document will be issued via Je-S which includes a schedule of quarterly profiled payments that STFC undertakes to make throughout the lifetime of the research grant.
